This Malibu neighborhood is located at the east end of Malibu about 1.5 miles north of Topanga Canyon.  From here you will have the best views of Santa Monica Bay, city lights all the way down to the Palos Verdes Peninsula.  Big Rock offers 50’s style ranch homes sitting on anywhere between 1 – 3 acres.  Prices of Big Rock homes can start anywhere from $1.5m and up depending upon the amount of ocean view.

An issue to be informed of is the geological issues that may affect the area. Geologists have found that the entire area sits on an ancient landslide that was reactivated from heavy rains in 1983. The issue is addressed in a special real estate disclosure document.  Most buyers since then have consulted a geologist prior to making a purchase and gained enough comfort to move on with the purchase of the home.
