Broad Beach

Broad beach, home to many celebrities is located west of Zuma Beach and east of Trancas Point.  If you are looking for a home somewhat off of PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) and away from the annual summer beachgoers, Broad Beach is the place where many take sanctuary.  Farther West than most Malibu communities, Broad Beach is very private and tranquil.  With expansive amounts of dry sand, and rolling, grass covered dunes, Broad Beach looks as though it fits on the East Coast especially with the high number of traditional and Cape Cod style homes along the shore.  Broad Beach is approximately one mile long with 108 homes directly on the sand and a few located on the bluffs.  Most Broad Beach homes for sale have lots beginning at 40 feet wide, but many residents have acquired the neighboring lot making some lots 80 and 120 feet wide.  Offering some of the deepest lots in all of Malibu, many are between 200 and 300 feet in length.  This is where you will often find; guesthouses, courtyards, above garages on the street side and/or a large two-story home on the beach side.

There are a very few Broad beach homes that become available to the Malibu real estate market under $8m, finding one is a difficult test.  Most finished Broad Beach homes for sale range in price from $10m to $30m depending on the square footage and more importantly, the width of the lot.

Lastly, this community is across the street from a newly developed shopping center called Trancas and it is also close to Malibu Junior High and Malibu High School.
