But before you get too excited, it’s not the John Lautner masterpiece he just purchased.

Now that Edward Norton is the owner of one of Malibu’s most famous houses—John Lautner’s Stevens House—he’s ready to let someone else enjoy his other beachside property. The actor is renting out his two-unit beach bungalow along Malibu’s Las Flores Beach for $15,000 per month. He purchased the home in 2008 for just over $2.7 million according to Trulia. The cozy duplex, which is a far cry from Norton’s latest real estate acquisition, has three bedrooms and two baths across an upper- and a lower-level unit. The upper unit has an airy living room completely outfitted in white, with a contrasting black brick fireplace. Blue-gray wall-to-wall carpeting mirrors the color of the ocean, which is visible through a series of large windows. The larger bedroom has a sliding door to the unit’s deck, and a Jack and Jill bathroom connects both upper bedrooms.

The lower unit has a slightly warmer feel with wood dominating the aesthetic. A large living room with a hardwood floor mirrors the wooden ceiling and offers a view of the beach through a series of windows. Along the wall, a retro wood-burning stove sits on a raised blue-tiled hearth. As in the upper unit, a modest kitchen sits along the back of the living room, this one outfitted with reclaimed wood countertops and cabinets. The bedroom has sunny ocean views through windows and glass doors, which open to a spacious deck and raised yard with a hot tub, tiki hut, and plenty of lounge space.
